Anybody know how I can get dried/ground in playdoh out of our carpet?

The joys of having a toddler... argh. Put down a large sheet for ds to sit and play on but of course he managed to get some playdoh onto the carpet and it's nicely ground in. Tried scraping it off but it just wont budge.

Any tips?

Nope! But I'm glad you started the thread, because my carpet looks like I bought it with polka-dots, but I didn't

bump, I need any advice on this too, we are moving in a week, and currently we have some blue spots of playdough or worse, plasticine, not sure whether to hire a steam cleaner r borrow a vax, which will work best

Ice cubes work for chewing gum, maybe it works for play dough too???

Try using a stiff wire brush, don't press down too hard in case you damage the pile, just go back and forward in a short motion in different directions. If it's dry it should crumble as you brush and you can vacuum it up.

wire brush? dont think I own one

I thought it would just crumble off when dry, but it seems to have bonded with the carpet.

Anybody has Kim & Aggie's phone number?

buy a new carpet?

that's why I gave all the playdough to my MIL to keep at her house!

use the hoover nozzle and sort of scrape it off. it does work, though you may have to scrub a little bit if the colour has bled
