Daft question but don't suppose you have tried the manual if you still have it?

bramblina · 22/05/2007 22:46

Have you tried taking a picture of, say, a blank page of paper and then choose "use" then "set as wallpaper"?

yes am potentially interested but only if can be unlocked - my current phone is locked on to three but can't be unlocked which is more than a bit annoying as I don't particularly like three.

We have paid £25 in shops before we got the codes from ebay. Try that first and see. We bought and paid for it, then when the guy received our payment he emailed us a very long code and it worked fine

Well first when you're looking on ebay just type in "unlock nokia N70 codes" and they'll be there.

When the guy emails you he'll give you all the info. It was a while ago we did ours and dh actually "did" it so I can't remember but you will get all the info, there will probably be something in the menu where it will ask for the code.

bramblina · 23/05/2007 22:08

OK I have just searche d876 of my emails and found the one I was sent, it won't unlock your phone but I'm just letting you know how much info you'll get;

Hi eBay User.

Thanks for your purchase.

Please find attached all of the codes and information.

therefore
take
no responsibility for any damage to your phone or loss of functions

If the phone displays the name of the alternative network (i.e. O2, T-Mobile, Orange, Vodafone etc), and all functions are accessible, your phone is unlocked and you MUST NOT attempt to re-enter these codes or enter any further codes. .However, if the phone will still not allow the use of an alternative network SIM card, proceed to the next step.

Please note that the above codes have been generated using the
information
you
have provided. If the information you have provided is 100% correct,
and
your
phone does not unlock after entering the codes, there is a possibility
that
your phone is
either blacklisted, has had it's IMEI changed or the software has been
tampered with at
some point in the past! There is no other reason that the above codes
would
fail to unlock your phone if the information you have provided is 100%
correct! The codes could also fail if the
remote unlock codes have been inputted over five times, therefore
forcing
the mobile to be unlocked using a cable from a mobile phone specialist.

good luck!
