2019: any commemorations come to mind for a community event?

I run, on a voluntary basis, a project that organises events on a community field. Last year, dray horses came to help us celebrate the brewing history of the field. This year, we'd have marked the centenary of the end of WW1, perhaps by honouring the role of animals in war.
But instead, we're putting a small scale eco fair as annual big events are very tiring to organise (with relatively few active volunteers). I'm thinking ahead to 2019.

Do any commemorations come to mind? National/international? I'm not sure about the 75th anniversary of the D Day landings. I don't think we could do that one justice and, in any case, a conflict related theme would not appeal to everyone.

The event will be designed to attract all ages - will be free and inclusive. But a focus would be fantastic - and around that, of course, there'd be local group and charity stalls and activities.

Any suggestions gratefully received. I've googled but not found much.
