I was just thinking of that yesterday,Rattle. I love Ariel, too but would reject it on the basis of its laundry connotations.

My mum claims that there are twins in Africa called Syphilis and Gonorrhoea. Also, Sodom and Gomorrah have a nice ring to them.

Melaena is a good one (which I believe some have called their little girls) (It is the medical term for bloody poo)

And I have gone right off Amelia since my friend pointed out what it means. Again - medically speaking - congential abscence of am arm or leg.

rattleskuttle · 21/05/2007 10:15

clandestine would be a lovely girls name

Enema

rattleskuttle · 21/05/2007 10:22

i hadn't stopped to think that names do have a meaning. how long does it take before the meaning is disregarded, i wonder? perhaps i should have been braver and gone for clandestine, felony, etc but then my dcs would probably hate me
my friend called her son raphael which i think is a beautiful name. he's now about 17/18 and the blasted mutant turtles became popular shortly after he was born. so he was teased for about the next 10 years.

rattleskuttle · 21/05/2007 10:24

urinal, too - sounds like a strong, no-nonsense boys name

OP posts:
rattleskuttle · 21/05/2007 11:34

changed my mind about "urinal" - sounds a bit like "lionel"
