Don't feel crap.
Don't let misplaces guilt pull you down.
Get out, enjoy some time to yourself and you will be on top form when they return.

If it's any comfort, I've just sent dh and ds2 off to Twickenham. Ds2's favourite rugby team is in the Heineken Cup Final. You'd think he'd bounce out of bed, full of the joys of spring in anticipation.

He got up (late), had breakfast and proceeded to watch television. When told to get dressed, he started screaming that he didn't have any clothes (without having looked). Dh was all set to go without him, asking ds3 if he'd like to go instead, but I knew that if he did that, I'd be left with ds2 in a foul mood all day. Managed to get ds2 into some clothes and ready, by which time dh had stalked off to the train station. Ds2 ran after him yelling that he hated him and didn't want to go with him. Sigh.

At least he's gone now, but I hate it when getting them out of the door is such a traumatic event.

Anyway, my plans for today have just gone tits up so do you fancy coming over for a glass of wine this afternoon?? Serious offer.

Go for a walk in the sun. (is the sun shining?)

Go to the shops, window shopping or proper shopping without kids, bliss!

Go swimming without having to make sure the kids aren't drowning

Have a fun day and stuff the housework!
