I hate it when complete strangers come up to you and say 'Cheer up, It might never happen!'
My usual response is 'how do you know that it hasn't already?'
I live by the phrase 'live to regret something you did, rather than something you didn't'

I could never get the hang of 'If wishes were horses, beggars would ride'. I always wanted to make it into 'If wishes were horses, pigs would fly'. Not that it's one that I have much call to use, anyway.

favouite;
'more haste, less speed' because my pirmary school principal used to say it as we were legging it around the school making a mess

hated;
'smile! it might never happen' usually said to you when it just has.

also hate;
'penny for your thoughts?' no! bog off and think your own thoughts!
