or do your children ,now teens or older still look the same as they did as a toddler.
Dd and I were looking at photos of her and her friends and most of them look the same now just bigger and grown up.Dd however looks really different, face shape ,colouring etc.Think the change took place around 11-13 yrs
Now wondering if ds will morph into someone different too.

I have no photos of me as a child so can't compare.

No, but my mother's face still looks like when she was a baby!

cremolafoam · 16/05/2007 09:18

just got my hair cut yesterday and i now have the exact hair i had when i was 3.it is also magically the same colour(lol).all i need now are a pair of brown cord flares.

fishie · 16/05/2007 09:18

i look very different, was straight blonde and now am dark curly hair. and i had a dear little button nose but now have a rather small straight one to look down on people with. still podgy though.

fishie · 16/05/2007 09:19

ggirl why no photos? that sounds sad.

Ceolas · 16/05/2007 09:20

Recognisably similar

nogoes · 16/05/2007 09:21

yeah ggirl me too

my kids have changed a lot....between maybe 5 and 14 they are pretty much the same - but older

powder28 · 16/05/2007 09:29

My friend gave me a photo of me holding my cat when I was about 11. My dh said I look exactly the same. I even have the same hairstyle

DontCallMeBaby · 16/05/2007 09:32

What d'you think?
Toddly me
Grown-up me

Not really a fair comparison (I have mumps in the toddler pic, plus I'm not really a toddler, my brother is four years younger, so I'm well over four; it's a slightly odd grown-up picture, and my hair is not really that colour!). But there's a resemblance.

My mum has a photo of herself at about three which looks spookily like her now, she doesn't really look like a three-year-old at all, apart from the body language, the pride with which she is grasping her new bracelet!

NineUnlikelyTales · 16/05/2007 09:41

Yes, apart from not having a ruddy, chubby face or being ginger

brimfull · 16/05/2007 09:48

dontcallmebaby-so you were a springer spaniel when you were younger then lol (first link not working for me)

Ahem. Friends-only pic now no longer friends-only.

I was more of a labrador sort of toddler, I think.

brimfull · 16/05/2007 09:58

sweet photo-you do look really similar, not at all lab like

Being looked after by my baby brother. He grew up too ... actually he grew up rather more than me . He's 6'6".

Going back to the original point, he is much harder to recognise from childhood photos, I think. I imagine men's faces do change more dramatically from childhood, get more angular, bigger, etc? We don't look obviously alike these days (I think) but I once did an online thing that 'masculinised' a photo of me, and it looked EXACTLY like him.

BarryScott · 16/05/2007 10:21

Its strange because I have moved back to the town where I went to /nursery and primary school and so obviously some of the people I was at nursery/primary school with, are now parents taking their dc to the same school.

Some of the mums look the same but "older" but the boys seem to change lots I don't recognise any boys from school (unless they all moved away)

I look much the same as I did when I was a toddler but have lost the spikey hair

babyblue2 · 16/05/2007 10:26

Elder DD looks like I did at her age, 4 BTW, younger DD just looks a minx

Aloha · 16/05/2007 10:26

I have the same frown!

brimfull · 16/05/2007 13:37

my dd strangely morphed from looking like me when she was 3/4 to being the spitting image of her father now-although obviously the feminine version of him.

I've changed a hell of a lot and I think the kids have too, but when toddlers they did look like toddler me.

Or at least I think so. Me, DS1 and DS2 , but maybe not in that order

brimfull · 16/05/2007 23:36

middle pic looks different to the other two, they look very similar
