Does anyone know the best way to get blood out of a carpet? Pretty please?

Poor ds had a nosebleed this morning all over his bedroom. I'm not too worried about the bedding as it's all old stuff inherited from his sister anyway but the carpet is cream and I think it was new when we moved in so our landlord will not be pleased! I've spent most of the day trying to get the stains out. I couldn't remember if salt was for wine or blood but I tried it anyway and it was no good. I've also tried two different brands of stain-remover, carpet shampoo and in desperation baby wipes!

Has anyone got any Kim and Aggie style tips? I've got the worst of the red out but am left with some dirty-brown smudges.
Thanks!

try ace 'bleach' not a bleach but a stain remover which works wonders on blood on clothes, you can see it lifting it away - good luck.

Thank you both. I'd forgotten about Ace, I didn't realise you could still buy it. Back to the shops tomorrow then .

Stain Devil No 2 does blood, have you tried that? Also I use Liquid Soda crystals for everything. Its got no bleach in it, but it is a miracle worker.
