How long are you meant to use them for?

Ds4 has one in his carseat and I'm increasingly having to wedge him into it which he gets really cross about but he's only 16 weeks, I'm sure he's too little to not have it.

Presume its position is not adjustable? Can he hold his head well yet? If it's uncomfortable it might be more dangerous squeezing him into it than not having it. When my ds started outgrowing his Mamas and Papas first car seat I had to ditch the head support. He did loll strangely if he fell asleep but I couldn't get him in and he wasn't heavy enough for the next stage seat.

I stopped using it as soon as they got annoyed about it OR when they had good head control. He sounds ready!lol

i have never used them

I've already moved it to the largest position, a while ago actually.

He's got reasonable head control, still abit wobbly when sitting without laening against anything but ok if he's in his chair.

I don't really want to take it out but it is getting rather tricky to fit him in...

nope, never used one. got given one when dd1 was a baby but never used it.

I actually read you post as "i've never heard of them" at first.

I nearly fell off my chair

I'll try him without it today and see how he goes.
