big one in asda for about £20 is good - and feeds at least6 adults with some left over

purplemonkeydishwasher · 11/05/2007 15:45

i've got one that's HUGE! this one

goingfor3 · 11/05/2007 15:49

I've got the same one as purplemonkeydishwasher

I have got that one too and it's great. Very big - slightly too big for my family of 4, but would be perfect for 6 or more.

Not cheap as chips, but I would THOROUGHLY recommend the Morphy Richards 48715 (6.5L) and it is FAB. You can fit masses in there, I regularly do meal sizes for 8 and then freeze half.

When my ancient Morphy Richards broke down (it really lasted a long while) I replaced with a Tefal which was unbelievably crap - food just wasn't being cooked through properly even with the proper timings - so much so that I ended up just replacing it for the Morphy Richards above which works brilliantly.

(so basically, we have the bigger size than purplemonkeydishwasher )

FiveFingeredFiend · 11/05/2007 21:53

Get the next size up if you can afford it, fivefingeredfiend - honestly, comes in real handy if you want to make double quantities, and it doesn't really affect it if you put small amounts in.

RubberDuck · 11/05/2007 22:10

(and have the cupboard space, of course)

Recipes in the Morphy Richards manual thing are pretty good too - we love the chilli con carne.

PeachyChocolateEClair · 11/05/2007 22:11

we got a fab one in asda, enough for us 5 plus leftovers £19.99 in asda hth

northender · 11/05/2007 22:13

I've the same one as rubberduck and although there's only 4 of us it's fab as you make huge quantities and freeze. Our beef casserole out of the freezer tonight was scrummy.
