melsy, banana is a wonderful thing but I have never been able to get out the marks it leaves. With each baby I forget this and then remember it again as I wean and baby squishes his banana all over his sleepsuit...
It seems to be not quite as bad if you grab it at once and scrub with eg washing up liquid then wash straightaway, not much help to you now I know, but for future ref.
Can you bleach the tops? (ie are they white?) Or try a very hot wash and then hang in the sun, which oftens seems to bleach out marks.

Clary, I use Biotex spray (no water) and then I leave it for a few mins while I attack the rest of the clothing and then when I come back to it the Biotext enzymes have done their work, I then rinse and hey presto, Banana gone. Don't use hot water as it sets ALL stains!
Must remove all stains before washing, I use Ecover liquid and Napisan. Use Biotex first, then soak in Napisan and that usually does the trick. Removes fruit and pooh stains.
