I am planning to get a new place. I have four young children - eldest 12 years and youngest 2 years.

Would like to know where would be good for a family between Kent and Essex?

I grew up in Ashford and lived there for 21 years! It's currently up and coming, new shops and houses are being built, it's a very family friendly area, schools are decent as theirs a large choice.

No idea about Essex but Kent is lovely.

Westerham
Biggin hill
Sevenoaks
Tunbridge Wells
Edenbridge
Keston

Ashford is a shithole, sorry.

@flumpybear all of the places you have stated, are lovely, but so expensive.

Hi everyone, it's my first tike here. I'm really confused with my moving decision making.
I am planning to move my family of 5 from London to either of this places to start their secondary school education. Chelmsford, Rochester, Dartford or Tunbridge Wells.
My major priorities are:
1. Quality education
2. Safe and friendly environment
3. Mosque
4. Good transportation links to London

Your feedback, comments and suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks.

Might be better to start your own new thread @Hayzee101 as this is an old one. Go to the Talk topics, pick "Property/DIY" and click on "Start a thread".

Tunbridge Wells is much nicer (and more expensive!) than the other places on your list. I wouldn't go for Dartford.
