Hi there,

I live very close to Kelvedon and from what I know it is a good area. The schools are good too. You have St Marys (which is an excellent primary school) and Honeywoods (senior school) which is one of the best in the area. My best friend lives in the same town as me but went to a lot of trouble to get her ds in to St Mary's and now Honeywoods.

Let me know if you need any other info

My parents live in Witham, which is nearby, and AFAIK Kelvedon is nice enough.
Don't know about the Kelvedon primaries but there is a good one in Witham. For secondaries you will have loads of choice (esp. if they pass the 11+) as you can easily get to Chelmsford or Colchester.

Excellent - thanks - we would be living in Kelvedon High Street so DD would most certainly get into St Mary's - am relieved to know is such a good school and that there is plenty of choice as far as secondary schools go - it is oneo f the problems moving away from where we live - leaving the Grammer Schools around here which are so hard to find in other areas!!

Oh well hopefully will get to meet one of you one day - we are going to see the house very shortly and if it is all it is cracked upt o be will put in an offer tonight.

My friends round here think I am mad but I am sick of the violence in SE London and the crap with traffic that we have to put up with on a day to day basis and DD is really looking forward to moving to the country as she sees it.

Just got to check out childminders for DS now and our new lives could be just beginning!!
