We have a solicitor in the family who is on holiday. Think it's an official bank holiday.

I thought it was the May Day holiday? DS1's School and DS2's nursery are closed on Tuesday also.

My dd's nursery is off tomorrow and Tuesday

My sisters ds's nursery and dd's school was off Friday and tomorrow (different council so different holidays)

My dh is not off work either but gets the holiday at the end of May.

apparently tomorrow is the Early May Bank Holiday

Its very mixed IME- university is still open as you say, and so are lots of shops. NHS I think don't have a holiday, MRC certainly don't.

A lot of universities don't take the may day hol for some reason. They have two days at Victoria Day instead.
