DH is having to work in and around Bury/Ipswich and we are considering moving.

Anyone know of small nice villages with excellent primary schools in this area?

bury has lots of lovely schools. I live nearer to newmarket approx 15 miles away. My ds goes to school in moulton, about 8 miles from BSE which is a lovely village but can be quite pricey. Your best bet is to drive around and choose where you like. There are lots of older properties in the town itself, and on the outskirts such as moreton hall, quite large estates with new homes if you prefer. If you need anything, just give me a shout! I love bury, if the upper school doesn't improve here, we will be moving there as the schools are better, especially the catholic ones

Don't know about the primary schools, but there are some lovely villages just south of Bury. I got married in Clare and spent some time scouting round their for venues.

Bury seems a lovely town. We live a bit further away but occasionally pop in to Bury for shopping or a visit to Cafe Rouge or Pizza Express. Hardly a basis for planning a house move on!

the fornhams are good, they are nearer to bury itself

Thanks, we will have to have a drive around those areas.
We used to live near Stowmarket, so should have a better idea than we do! I guess we tended to go to Ipswich more than Bury.
