Help, my mum has to be out of her house in 4 weeks, has no where to go!

she has had to seel house as since divorce cant afford to keep it, its falling down and she cant manage stairs.
we have no spare room and lots of stairs, she is on every housing list we can think of but because she is classed as owner/occupier, she gos way down list.
we have a medical letter telling them she NEEDS to be rehoused as matter of urgency detailing her health probs and not we can ring to say she willa ctually be homeless in 4 weeks, but they are doing sod all to help her..any suggestions?

only thing to suggest is privately renting, what about a ground floor studio/flat ?

yeah, we have considerd that but she would be put right backa t bottom of HA lists if she was in private rented, she needs HA cos of her health..it IS the only quick option tho, or they said they would put her in a hostel..shes almost 60, feel so sad about that and god knows how long it would be for)
