changed my name.
worked out my dates and its been 35 days since my last period started - they usually last 5-6 days. thats 7 days over a 28 day cycle - and i am usually predictably regular.

my husband had a vasectomy 5 years ago. i have many questions and fears but cannot seem to articulate them.

will go for a test kit tomorrow. i dont want to start all over again, am too old

All kinds of things can make you late. Have you been stressed about anything recently? I assume DH had his vasectomy a while ago and the tests have all been clear. Can't you buy a test today and put your mind at rest?

could this be the menopause rather than pregnancy?

Are you old enough (although it can happen any age) to be in the peri-menopause phase when your periods start to get irregular?

took the test and its negative. am in my early 30's so hopefully not menopause. will give it another couple of weeks and off to the doctors. thanks for your advice anyway

swanvesta - all sorts of things can derail your cycle - apart from any hormonal problems, stress, a lot of exercise and weight loss can do this.
