Gift ideas for Mum of 4

A friend is looking after my 15m son for the day whilst I move house. She is mum to 4 (between 2.5 and 11), and I was wondering what sort of gift might help perk her up as she faces the school holidays (I'm unwilling to return the favour and look after her crew for the day!). Any suggestions please?

If this was me, I would be grateful for some nice flowers but if you wanted to spend a bit more money and she could find the time, what about something like a voucher for a beauty salon where she could have a facial or something.

A bottle of strong wine to blot out the misery of school holidays - roll on September!

Seriously though, could you take her out for a meal one evening or go to the cinema perhaps whilst your DH's look after the kids?

pedicures (some of the Clarks shoe shops have them) are a lovely treat and not too pricey

Something especially for her, perhaps some nice pamper stuff for bath etc, or a really nice bottle of wine she can saviour while they sleep, a nice blouse. I expect she would be happy with anything that is just hers as we do tend to forget ourselves once we have children.

I' with you PamT, time off must be a scarce thing for her. Go for a meal/pictures. Something out of the house.

The best present I gave a friend was a voucher for an ironing service !!!!
