Real life usually - although I do very often find myself saying "I read in the newspaper ......" or "A friend of mine ........" to anyone other than DH so I don't sound like a complete loon

DarrellRivers · 30/04/2007 13:28

I sometmes find myself saying airily 'ohh i read this somewhere recently ' to other people in RL apart from DH about MN conversations

RustyBear · 30/04/2007 13:30

foghorn - I do that too, but if DH or either of the DC's are there I can't get away with it; they will immediately say 'Bet that was on mumsnet'

Mhamai · 30/04/2007 13:33

Hmm reminder to self to say I read this or heard that because
I often say I'm on this chat site and get weird looks!

'On a parenting website, I think' is my fave. I cancelled a friend coming to tea today because I won't have time to do my jobs and mumsnet if they come

Mhamai · 30/04/2007 13:41

You see I did refer to parenting website in the past and revealed my user name and am now a tad paranoid that the world and his wife knows that half y life is here for all to see!!!!
