(can't do the online get millions of quotes through one form because of specific details like 'clay soils', house is pinned and want to insure engagement ring so don't recommend places like confused please)

We have done ours through NFU Mutual, we don't have to do buildings cos that's done by the family business who won the property but contents insurance, with 2 million public liabilty etc was 376

Don't bother with Frizzell if you have any mature trees within sight of your property......

ChippyMinton · 30/04/2007 12:16

Try the AA as they broker for lots of the big companies.

snowleopard · 30/04/2007 12:20

Royal Bank of Scotland, good price, and paid up without a squeak when bathroom ceilign fell in even though it was the neighbours' fault... pretty good I reckon.

lulumama · 30/04/2007 12:25

Twiglett · 30/04/2007 12:36

I use moneysupermarket.com for most insurances - theyre like confused.com.
Barclays came out best for me - 'cos they price match and give you £50 as well.

Ours is Woolwich and they do our mortgage.
We did shop around, and at the time they were better. We laos get permanent holiday cover with them, which is ideal as we go abroad often twice a year.

lulumama · 30/04/2007 14:33

really twig.....they were a lot less for us , including engagement ring, and cheaper than zurich who we;d been with for years

MuffinMclay · 30/04/2007 16:39

Cheapest I found for us recently was Barclays.
