just the chassis bit - but it is beyond hope.

Does anyone know if you can get a spare chassis bit or are we in for another eye-watering purchase?

[sympathetic]

i shall think of your chassis before going to bed tonight

try ebay?

yours,
a fellow bugaboo owner

lucykate · 29/04/2007 17:14

oh no, how did that happen?, are you covered on insurance, household, credit card purchase cover??

lummox · 29/04/2007 20:53

Thanks for the sympathy tutter - it does look very sad and forlorn.

i am a bit wary of using ebay, as i think there are a lot of bugaboo scam listings (although i'm not sure why i think that).

Thanks also lucykate - it was on the lawn and a visitor drove over it by mistake (was all a bit tragic - the driver realised he had hit something and got out to check but couldn't see anything there because it was under the front wheel not the back). I will try the insurance company, but we didn't have it specifically named or anything. Also it is just over two years old (we'd only just got it out again for ds2) so I don't think the card insurance thing could still be valid.

doh.

the car driver should be insured.

lummox · 29/04/2007 20:56

But wouldn't that involve actually suing him? Could he just claim it?

You're right, I do find that funny.

Sorry, I think that's funny too, although I am of course sympathetic as it will be a pain sorting it out. Did you fall out of your Boden flipflops rushing to assess the damage?

lummox · 29/04/2007 20:59

Will check it out tomorrow. It was in our garden, so not even out and about really.

OP posts:
lummox · 29/04/2007 21:00

No MuminBrum, I sent the butler.

OP posts:
lummox · 29/04/2007 21:00

not really.

OP posts:
mishw · 29/04/2007 21:03

Didn't the person who ran it over offer to replace it? Also what was the driver doing driving on the lawn?!

MuminBrum · 29/04/2007 21:05

I was going to ask you if said Bugaboo was on your half-mile of gravel drive but noticed just in time that you had said it was on your lawn!

NotanOtter · 29/04/2007 21:07

i bought my bugaboo on ebay i would do it again

RustyBear · 29/04/2007 21:09

omg - poor driver - can you imagine driving over something & finding a pushchair under your wheels - what would you feel like...

mishw · 29/04/2007 21:48

You;re right rustybear, they must have died when they realised, still once they realised no baby was in it, still think they should have offered to replace it, I know I would have done

RustyBear · 29/04/2007 21:49

Yes, so would I.

heifer · 29/04/2007 22:03

He probably thought he was doing you a favour so you could go and buy a good looking pram

lummox · 30/04/2007 07:50

Think he might yet offer to replace it. He was absolutely distraught at what he had done - went completely white and couldn't believe it. So we were all saying not to worry about it, and at least one of the kids wasn't in there, etc, etc. Am now thinking we may have been too nice!

But even if he does offer, would obviosuly still like to get the cheapest possible deal for him, so maybe i will try ebay.

Ebay is slightly complicated as we live in France and have two kids under two at the moment, so being buggyless is a bit of a pain.

Fingers crossed for the insurance!

Hello lummox, get yourself a nice double buggy and sling the wee one underneath.
Am sure I told you ages ago to get a double buggy.
