Mine spends all weekend and most evenings on his xbox.
But i don't really mind cos i get to hang out here.

Ilovemyboy · 26/04/2007 18:45

He luuuuurrrves cricket so we have spent the last 2 or so months watching cricket. I don't mind cricket but when it is every bloody day...

He also has about 3000 records that we had to put into storage when we moved house as there is nowhere to put them. It costs us about £30 a month to store them.

hana · 26/04/2007 18:45

nope
no time really!

FrannyandZooey · 26/04/2007 18:46

I kind of admire my dp for the hobbies he has

he has more sticking power than me and also his hobbies are probably more worthwhile / "improving" than mine

Ilovemyboy · 26/04/2007 18:46

I meant to add that we have watched cricket for the last 2 months because it has been the world cup.

what's his hobby cheeryface?

admylin · 26/04/2007 18:57

Cricket matches are bearable if the club where the match takes place has a nice bar! Then I would willingly encourage dh to play or join or just watch (if we were in the UK)

Hulababy · 26/04/2007 19:13

No, not really.

He plays golf but generally this is done in work hours so doesn't impact on me and DD at all.

He likes watching cricket, golf and rugby - so he takes over Tv at times. Ditto films. But as I don't watch much Tv and would rather be onthe computer or scrapbooking, again it doesn't really ipmact much.

Ilovemyboy · 26/04/2007 19:14

Watching cricket live is fantastic - especially international cricket. I would have loved to have gone to the West Indies and sit in the sun all day getting pissed with the Barmy Army at the world cup.

Will have to wait until DS (and other DC we may have) to grow up.

Porcupine · 26/04/2007 19:14

comics

also plays badminton once a week

his hobbies ruin our life togther tbh

shonaspurtle · 26/04/2007 19:19

frickin football. Playing, watching, listening, reading.

Lazycow · 26/04/2007 19:20

Roleplaying and wargaming
computer games
Reading vast amounts
cycling

But tbh he does all of these a lot less since ds was born

HelloMama · 26/04/2007 19:20

Oh gawd yes! this is a very timely thread!

photography
mountain biking
x-box
used to like model remote controlled helicopters
... and now... fishing!

Every time he finds a new hobby (for about a year) we have all the magazines, paraphernalia and he spends HOURS looking on internet joining sad forums (nothing like mumsnet !) finding out about it. It becomes a whole way of life. I do admire him for his dedication though. He keeps telling me I should find a hobby, but I'm just too tired!

Ilovemyboy · 26/04/2007 19:22

Lucy - my ex used to spend a fortune on 'graphic novels'.

Has anyone got a DP/DH that spends a lot of time playing World of Warcraft? That is why my ex is now my ex. Boring fart he was...

Twinmummyx2 · 26/04/2007 19:30

My DP teachs football to kids in the community...(he runs a under 12's football club)...and then helps out at another.

He also plays a lot on Battlefield on-line so i get chucked off here

fennel · 26/04/2007 19:32

Dp is very keen on windsurfing, also sailing, canoeing, squash, DIY (building lofts etc), computer building and fiddling with computers.

I'm jealous he's got the energy really. And irritated that his body hasn't suffered from 3 pregnancies, births and breastfeedings in the last few years so he can still be as fit and good at sport as ever

dmo · 26/04/2007 21:14

my dh goes to the gym wed and sun
goes to his friends to play on computers on thurs
meets other friend sat to play with remote control cars
plays guitar every night
plays on x-box, ps2, pc each night (depends what he is into)
tinkers with car or looks on e-bay for bits for car on sundays

my night for going out is tuesdays but been so busy at work been in bed at 7 on a tuesday i have no staying power
