Botley Farm between Warlingham and Tatsfield, think the road is B2024. This pub has big garden with seperate play bits for under and over 5's and also has a pen with chickens the fields around have sheep my 3 year old ds loves it. I haven't eaten there but know people who have

Geogtech - that place looks gorgeous. I've just been looking at their website. I was going to suggest the Red Barn at Lingfield to Hercules but have changed my mind now!

I have eaten at the Botley and it's good food! Also just bit further out is Dog & Duck at Outwood - have a lake with ducks, nice pub garden with slide etc.

Can you post the link for botley farm? I haven't been there for a few years, and don't remember the kids stuff. My mum lives in Tatsfield Village and we are always looking for somewhere to go for lunch during the holidays.

Incidently, The Ship in Tatsfield is nice with lots of outside seating and a play area. The foods pretty good too. Your DS might like Beaverworld, its on Approach Road going into the village (so about 5 mins drive from Botley Farm). It has lots of reptiles and birds, and large shop which sells fish, but you can just walk around and look at them. Theres a small play area too. If I remember rightly the alligator from one of the Bond films has 'retired' there.

Thanks for that, we're now going to go for lunch sometime next week!

Mo2 · 26/07/2004 19:15

And us! Had never heard of Botley Farm - now it'll probably be packed with Mumsnetters next Sunday!
(Time to wear those MN T shirts!)

And mine! Was there just the other week, and it's lovely. I feel a summer lunch meet-up coming on...

moominmama86 · 26/07/2004 21:01

Oh, what a surprise. I've killed a thread. I give up.

yes yes WE WANT A MEET UP.......

ladymuck · 27/07/2004 20:24

OK Mo2 - we'll hold you to it! I keep an eye out, but my plans are all rather fluid due to irritating work commitments (hence I didn't respond to Essbee's suggestion for meet-up tomorrow: I'm now free after 3? don't know if that is too late?)

But if we're talking pub meet-up count me in!

Mo2 · 27/07/2004 20:30

Ladymuck - whereabouts are you - we keep 'meeting' on threads about Gatwick etc - you must be in my area!

ladymuck · 27/07/2004 22:45

Purley - met up with you at an Indian about a year ago in Warlingham. Was sitting opposite you in pink - under a different MN name!

Jodee · 27/07/2004 23:03

Can't help but be drawn to threads with 'Croydon' in the title! Ladymuck, I was there too - remember you well!

ladymuck · 29/07/2004 13:59

How's life away from Concrete City then Jodee?

Mo2 · 29/07/2004 15:15

Aha! Ladymuck - I remember you well - hadn't put 2 & 2 together! (MW wasn't it?)
How are you??
