Hi
Just that really. We're currently in Queen's Park in a flat and are looking for a house. We've loved it when we've visited but of course, visiting and living are two very differnet things.
Any advice?
TIA

It's wonderful here! I love it!

It's friendly, green and full of families.

You might want to check out the catchement areas for the schools, that will pop the price of the houses up though.

Would I be your neighbour then MarsLady?

We're at the TTC no 1 phase so can't bear to think about catchment areas! How do we find out about that?!
Also AllyPally seems easier to get into town or are the buses from Muswell Hill Broadway good? (have always been a tube girl, not that fond of buses really)

You want the Broadway every time girl! The buses are good. You can get to Highgate tube, Finsbury Park tube, Wood Green tube and Bounds Green tube with one (obviously different) bus.

If you move in I'll bring you lemon drizzle cake!

Now dependent on the ages of the children.... you need to think about schools. Fortismere is good for senior school. Then you've to be careful where you move if you also want one of the primary schools. Muswell Hill, Tetherdown (both 2 form entry) and St James CofE and Our Lady of Muswell Catholic.

Muswell Hill is lovely and green and a bit hippyish in parts and so convenient for lots of places.

Hey Mars, we're moving on Friday! Round the corner from Tufnell Park tube, so not exactly next to you but not a million miles away either.

Dd1 so excited at being able to get the 134 from near our house, since this bus is clearly the hub of her social life...

If you want to live in Muswell Hill but a tube is important, look at the Fortis Green area. You can walk to East Finchley from there. Or the Highgate side of Muswell Hill.
