Holiday to Florida with 1 year old

We are thinking about taking our 1 year old to Florida with us in September, but I am worried about how she will behave on the long flight. We have taken her to Germany so flying is not a problem, it's just the length of the flight that concerns me. Does anyone have any experiences good/bad they would like to share, or any advice?

i went to florida with ex, back in 2002. i have to say i absolutely hated the flight, and was so bored especially when we were flying back at night and couldnt sleep. so take plenty to occupy yourselves and make sure you have plenty of snacks/drink. dont have any experience with flying with children, but i suppose just take things that keep her happy, like biscuits to keep her quiet.

If you search some the Travel threads you will find lots and lots of advice on travelling with babies. My advice is make sure you fly BA and you will have no trouble at all.
