A Girl Place..American venture for girls to take dolls out to their own restaurants

I saw this on breakfast TV this morning. A restaurant where there are doll chairs (but very posh place), meals etc and the environment is designed to sell to little girls. They also have doll beauty parlours for hair straightening etc, basically it is a doll retail concept. Apparently the restaurant is taking bookings into the middle of next year and is currently the most booked restaurant in New York at the moment (and it looked very upmarket).

From the film clip it looked like high society for dolls. Or a sort of junior Stepford Wives. Does it sound fun or grossly creepy?

It's fantastic! We took DD when we were in NYC and it's lovely. Not remotely creepy at all. The dolls are very good quality and there's a sort of theme to some of the dolls whereby there's a different doll for a different period in US history.

DD has a doll, complete with glasses which is the spit of her. We've promised to take her there for lunch next time we go over!

at 250 dollars per mother and daughter and 200 extra for additional child... it better be!

Um, it didn't cost anywhere near that much!!!

They do breakfast, brunch, lunch and supper menus. We got into the mother's day brunch by fluke (didn't realise you had to book months in advance and nice lady squeezed me and DD in).

Even DH liked it, he was particularly impressed by the men who worked there-they took it all in their stride.

Mmm, proably the prices have been up, or its just that the day special is very expensive (well it comes with a 130 dollars voucher to spend inside so maybe that's the reason...)

DD would love it in a year or two's time. Well she'd probably love it now TBH. She is so girly and really into her babies and dolls.
