I did the year before last...well sort of 7/8 walked 1/8 jogged! It didn't take long at all. Sorry I can't be more specific than that I can't really remember but pretty sure it was under an hour. I think the longest part was waiting to cross the start line as there were so many people there!

Good Luck!

I jogged the whole thing in 35 mins but loads of people were just walking & plenty more were doing a bit of both so from other people's perspective it doesn't matter really how you get round.

When I was training I just picked a route that was 5km & just started running & kept trying to build up on it. That should give you an idea of how far you can run & how long it takes. Still do the route now & if I walk half & run half it takes about 45 mins... but there were far more people to dodge at the actually race.

Good luck with it. I found it much easier on the day then when training as you have more motivation to complete it whereas on the training nobody knew if I walked it all!

i know i can walk it, so for me its a fitness thing to be able to at least walk part and run part. I am trying to get my fitness levels back up (used to dance). Will try the route planning idea. Also, i run like phoebe from friends so need to "practise" before the race
