firstly popped into town briefly this morning to get some money for DH for petrol and buy a few padded envelopes for ebay stuff I had to post. Not too bad, town packed with lots of chavtastic mums screeching Destineeeeeeeeeeeee etc across the shopping centre - and Wilkinsons' was out of stock of the size I wanted to buy (envelopes) so I had to pay twice the price in Smiths.

Got home, put my feet up for 1hr then decided to have a walk down to the butchers (opposite direction from town) to try some of his sausages walk all the way up (and it is mostly uphill - all be it very slight) there to find that they're closed on Monday....cue one grumpy DS2 who wanted to go to the Butcher and didn't want to go home until he'd been.....and one tired me - without any sausages.

Walked back home again and picked up the parcels I had to post at ebay - they weighed a ton (if I told you that 6 parcels cost me £27 to post you can probably get an idea of the weight) and one of the bags I was carrying them in split half way to town. Got to the post office hot and sticky but at least the queue wasn't too bad, then took DS2 to MacDonald for lunch (didn't give him fruit shoot though - he had the milk - to lessen my sins a little ).

Then had to go to Woolies to buy sandals for both DS's - they didn't have ANY that were suitable style/size/colour/design/price so I left empty handed (had 3 jobs in town - post parcels, buy sandals and get sausages from Morrisons.....as butchers was closed). Tried a few other shoe shops (haven't got much choice in our town) but couldn't find any.

Then went to Morrisons on the way home (walk straight past it) to buy some sausages - went to the freezer section to buy the 20 thick pork sausages.........out of stock, so decided to buy a pack of the 16 fresh thick pork sausages........out of stock. So no sodding sausages which means I'm going to have to do my 'quick and easy' meal for the week (breaded chicken and homemade potatoe wedges) tonight which screws up my meal plans for the week.

So I didn't manage to do most of the important things I needed to do today - and I'm knackered now - it's too damn hot here today to be walking around aimlessly for most of the day with 3yr old in tow and 33 weeks pg

OK - rant over...

Bummer as you can't even look forward to a big glass of vino tonight . Am v impressed that you plan meals though - I'm useless at that and have just started to think 'oh bugger - nothing in fridge for dinner'. So you are still doing well on the feeding the family front!

FA - that sounds like one miserable Monday! If it helps at all, I misread your thread titale and thought it said, "I've wasted so much energy today and just want a man........"

LucyJones · 16/04/2007 16:16

that's a loot of walking and carrying for a 33 week pregnant person - you will go into labour early i bet ya!

sockmonkey · 16/04/2007 16:41

Sounds like you need to put your feet up and watch a girly movie. Hope Tuesday is better for you. {{hugs}}

moondog · 16/04/2007 16:44

well i have sanded most of the woodwork in our house today
booked a week off work to gloss the woodwork and touch up the paint work but it has taken me all day just to sand
dh (also taken a week off) spent most of day running to DIY shops to buy bits we need and then did some filling in

boys have been fab today they even made their own lunch (bless them)

fannyannie · 16/04/2007 20:01

well it must be said my day has improved - spent more energy - but actually have 'results' from it. Cooked dinner (even if it wasn't what I'd actulaly planned to do , bathed the boys, finished the ironing - and put it all away, tidied the kitchen, watered the pot plants outside the front of the house and have nearly finished off the Route Planning I do for DH. Doesn't matter if I don't finish the latter tonight as he won't need it until Wednesday at the earliest.
