we have a leak from both the garden tap and the hose connection on the tap.
not the best at diy-but is it difficult to change the washer and if necessary a very old tap and is there anything to stop the leak from the hozelock tap/hose connector?
please help asap as dh has finally agreed to sort it out today and is off to wickes to have a look-would really appreciate any useful tips/hints/advice!!

I think you need to take the connector off the end of the hose, cut an inch or so off it and reconnect it tightly - that'll stop the hose leaking but not sure what will help the tap end (take off and clean maybe?)

Oh, if he's going to Wickes just buy a new set!
