A cheerful thread for a bank holiday Monday!

I started one of these threads a while ago after deciding that we all need things to look forward to. Me:

  • A friend's 40th birthday party in May
  • some more time off work at the end of May but I need to arrange some stuff to do during it
  • A 10yy thread meet up in London
  • I'm going to ask ex mil to have the children for 2 nights so dh and I can go away to a swanky hotel for his birthday
  • we have a week away booked for October half term
  • I am hoping dh's parents will let us do up their house, realising a huge profit so we can finally buy somewhere (but this might not happen)
  • I'm looking forward to doing more of the 10yy thread and losing more weight and feeling happier about how I look

You? And if you haven't got anything, what are you going to arrange? Go and do it and come back and tell us about it.

My Mum and Dad are coming tomorrow for a week.

We have a holiday booked in July.

Can't think of anything else at the moment but extremely happy with my lot.

Gobbledigook · 09/04/2007 10:39

At the moment:

  • Walk in The Lakes with kids and friends on Thursday with possible visit to JT straight after
  • Friday night - Dancing on Ice at MEN with JT
  • Possible trip to Llandudno at weekend with kids and friends, weather permitting
  • End of April - night out with mates
  • End of May - all day BBQ at friends house
  • End of May - family lunch out
  • First week of June - holiday in Cornwall
  • End of June - 40th birthday party to go to
  • End of July - summer ball at school
  • End August - holiday in Scotland
  • December - Take That concert

Off the top of my head, those are the things planned in so far.

gess · 09/04/2007 10:42

college reunion in June (although that could be hideous )

school reunion the week after (could be even worse )

the Council have agreed to provide us with secondary double glazing to the front of the house and ds1's bedroom (where he climbs) so will be able to stop worrying about him falling through first floor windows from all his climbing. They're also going to enclose our period staircase (dangerous) in perspex to stop him climbing through!

next easter mum and dad have said they'll come and give us a hadn to go over to Ireland so we can see the in-laws. DH's granny has never seen ds3 (now 2).

erm - going to the theatre on Wednesday with my Mum.

Booked overnight stay in hotel we had our reception in for 10 year anniversary.

But before all that I have to see if dh will be made redundant in June - even that I find quite exciting (I Know that sounds wierd) but it could bring a whole new chapter to our lives

megandsoph · 10/04/2007 20:36
