Hen weekend in Barcelona, where to stay?

For my hen weekend in June we are going to Barcelona.
We are still trying to find an apartment and are unsure about which area to stay in
Le Rambla and Gracia look like the best area's for nightlife etc.
Anyone got any tips about where to stay?
We need to be within walking distance of restaurants, pubs, clubs etc.

La Rambla is great and has a hard rock cafe on one end and a small harbour at the other there are lots of little bars etc. I would however warn you to keep valuables hidden and close watch on your purse as there is a high incidence of bag snatches and pick pocketing around there. We stayed at the Gaudi hotel which was basic but reasonably priced.

We stayed at the Ferran 1 apartment on this site here
They have another one ajoining which means a party of 10? could be together. We found it ideally placed because it was very central - just off the Ramblas - but quiet as it was up a little alleyway, which was pedestrians only.
There is a Spar shop 2 mins away.
And there was a lttle jewellry shop next door where I got a gorgeous pair of earrings.

AmyJade my friend is having her Hen Night in June and we were thinking Barca, how much have flights cost you etc?
If you don't mind me asking?

Darciesmum
We booked our flights with Easyjet a few months ago i think they cost around £85.
We have just booked our accomodation which was £90 each for 4 nights.
Can't wait to go!!!

we stayed in Hotel Universal on the Para Lel, 5 minutes from La Ramblas, and really nice.
