Whilst in the back garden I noticed that a picnic table had fallen on their dogs chain, he was laid in the sun with no water shelter etc and seemed to be gasping, so, I went round and sorted him. I think if he had wanted to get out, he probably could have done as he is a staffy and very strong.

Reason I'm asking if you'd mind if your neighbour did it is because we have never really had a good relationship, I have been here 10 years and we have only been passing the time of day for 3 years.

I couldn't bear to think of him suffering.

If it were me I would be grateful you had helped out (but then I wouldn't go out & leave a dog chained up in the garden anyway with no shelter or water).

I'm a big animal lover and couldn't see him like that, I know he is friendly as he is their sons dog and I do talk to him quite a bit, I wouldn't let the kids come in though as he is quite bouncy, jumps up alot etc, and I also know that dogs like that can get keen if frightened or distressed.

Yorkshire lass, I think I may have misworded that, he has a MASSIVE garden, and a large dog kennel with an old duvet in it and I saw plenty of food and water, it was just that this chain is very long and where he had been playing etc, at the bottom of the garden, he had somehow tipped this table up.

If I'd left my dog like that, I would be grateful to you for sorting him out.
