DS[3.5yrs] was given a guitar today and wants to learn to play soooooooooooo

how do I sort it out for him???????? Anyone taught a child this young? I dont play guitar but can read music.

DH wouldnt teach until they could read. I suppose if you know some chords you could teach him but its a bit pointless paying a tutor just now.

thanks Lieselventhouse thats what I thought. Just trying to work out how I can appease his eagerness to learn without putting him off..lol

Perhaps you could teach yourself and you could learn together, but concentrate more on the fun aspects. (Children can learn the violin from age 3 so why not guitar?).
