Just been on the silver in babies pram thread and it got me thinking, what are your traditions?
Here's mine
The all seeing eye is gifted to expectant mothers and children. I had one on the pram when my both kids were born until they were old enough to pull it off
Before moving house, the women in the family go to said new house to clean it and this getting rid of any 'bad energy'
Wearing black every day after someone has died until the day after the funeral as a sign of respect.
Visiting graves of family members on your wedding day
I know this a controversial topic on here, (please don't flame me I want this to be a nice thread) baby girls ears are pierced within the first few months of their lives.
Bracelets (kind of like christening ones) are worn on a babies arm (both male and female) since birth until they no longer fit. Lovely keepsake!!
A bath is run and the house is cleaned for a post natal mother returning home with her newborn.
