Basically, I've got severe Spd, and need to try to strenghen the muscles (all over my body as well due to lack of walking for many months etc).
What i am hoping to do is:
Swimming three times a week
Water aerobics once a week
Pilates once a week

Is this do-able?

Thanks for that fio,
I thought water aerobics would be ok, due to the weightlessness feeling, but will give it a miss!

Thanks

I had SPD when pregnant with DS. I was still suffering a bit 8/9 months later so started pilates which helped a lot.

Make sure your instructor knows what they're talking about though (mines an ex-physio) as you could aggravate it if you're not careful.

It really is a good exercise for strengthening all the right bits though. I recommend it

Personally I couldn't have imagined swimming with SPD though. I could really imagine that hurting -ouch!

Betty,
Swimming is the one thing I can do (not breastsroke though), and it was mainly backstroke. I used to be a decent swimmer (before dc were born), so I know the technique etc.

So, I am going to do the pilates and swimming then.
