daewooooooooooooooooooo nubira owners. Estate. parts are hard to come by. I would avoid for this reason, and am desperately wanting to sell ours.

We too had a Nubira estate. A lot of car for the money initially but we had quite a lot of little niggling problems with it.

Thanks for your posts - one of the reasons I'm thinking of getting a Daewoo is that there seems to be loads more choice of autos (which I prefer) and also the tacuma seems a cheaper option when you compare it to a xsara or scenic... But now I'm wondering if it's false economy...?

What about a Vauxhall Meriva? I drove one recently and it's quite roomy.

We've got the Tacuma. Five years old and it's now needing a new engine. I'm not sure if that's a common problem with them or not. I'd google it for reviews - I've read some that are not too complimentary.

It's a great car when it's running well, and not too expensive on the road either.

I had a problem getting baby car seats to fit though because the back seats were shaped - so something to be wary of. We couldn't swiitch off the front air bag either, so the baby always had to go in the back in his rear facing seat, which I didn't really like when I was on my own with him - but probably safer anyway than in the front of any car.

Oh we also had problems with car seats in the Nubira. To do with the length of the webbing. We had to get a Britax First Class as no other would fit.

Oh that sounds like a good idea, I will google for reviews. I've got to get to get 2 boosters and a baby seat in the back so will have a good look and have a trial...
