Income Needs - What have I missed & are they right??

Twinkie · 17/07/2004 13:16

I have to fill in my income needs on my Divorce Papers today and am totally stupid about things like that and wondered if you people could help me out??

So far I have thought of:

Housing (Half of Mortgage & Household Insurance) - £550pcm
Food (DD and I) - £200pcm
Clothing & Shoes (DD and I) - £50pcm
Sundries (toiletries etc) - £30pcm
Car Tax - £15pcm
Car Insurance - £37.50pcm
Childcare - £400pcm
Travel (Train Pass) £60pcm

Can anyone else think of anything else I can put or anything that I have forgotten and should be there?? And are my figures for food and clothing for a grown up and a child about right?? (I have not put how much I would spend I think the judge would have a coronary if he knew that I can't walk past GAP without spending at least £50 on pretty things for DD!!)

Tahnks All!!

Days out
Entertaining
Holidays
Replacing household equipment, bedding, decorating etc.
Presents and toys for DD
School uniforms
Swimming lessons, tennis, dancing - whatever she does.

Running out of thoughts!

Good luck

i dont think it would be unreasonable to increase your clothing and shoes allowance slightly, growing girls need clothes!! im sure even the judge will appreciate that! food looks ok for two of you, theres 3 and an infant of us and we just under double that for the month.
i hav'nt followed your threads im sorry as we have been moving house and i dont come on much now but i hope it all works out for you xx

What about things like toys for dd, and a monthly amount to cover big things, like if she needs a new bed, new car seat etc. And you probably need a monthly amount for 'extras' - like repairs on the car etc. And do you have life insurance (you should do), because that will obviously need to be budgeted for too?

Twinkie · 17/07/2004 13:29

So

Entertaining DD - Day trips etc £50pcm
Life Insurance - £25pcm (not sure this is right?)
School Uniform (as of Jan 05) - How much do you spend each term??
Clothes (changing that to £100 pcm)
Dancing Classes - £15pcm
Gymnastics Classes - £15pcm
Presents for Parties - £15pcm

Does that sound better - god I need to earn a fortune!!

Twinkie, I've got a form that lists just about everything you could EVER think of. I e-mailed it to a few people recently - if you want it contact me and I'll send it over.
