Uk skirt size for a 12 year old?

We don't have access to measure my 12 year old daughter and I've been looking all over the internet but nothing seems to have an answer. Please don't give waist measurements or such just need an exact size like size 6,4,8 etc... thanks xx

DD would have been a 0-2.. not kidding.
I'd say 4 on average, but huge variation. Some of DD's friends were 8s already. Better retailers have sizing charts that indicate the hip/waist measurements.

The reason they don't have '12-year-old' size stuff is because there is a HUGE variation in how big 12-year-olds are. Some are tiny and still very childlike, others are already an adult size 8,10, 12 or more. Depends on the measurements of your DD. I'm a bit baffled that you can't get her measured/access a tape measure - are you on a polar expedition or something?

We are away for a bit but will be back home in a few days so will most definitely get her measured!

UK sizes are not standardised, so there isn't an answer.

12 yo girls must be one of the age brackets with one of the greatest variations in size, depending on the level of progress through puberty.

Sorry, there is no answer - no standards. Females are expected to love hours in smelly hot shops. Men can buy clothes by measurements . so I often buy men's clothes but recognise this doesn't help for a skirt!
