We have been invited to a party that our friend is throwing for her brother's birthday (he's in his early 20s). I have only met her brother very briefly and so don't know him at all well, but we'd like to get him something as it's his party really.
Her brother has learning difficulties and has a much younger mental age than his actual age (he has P.K.U, but I'm not sure if the two are connected). My friend says he likes cars, sweets (not chocolate), and dance music.
What should I get him? I'm not very clued up on what would be the PC thing to do without offending any of her family. I don't want to patronise him by getting him something too childish, but also I don't want to get anything that he won't like or won't use.
Apologies if I have offended anyone with my ignorant terminology here she doesn't talk about her brother very much so we don't have much info to go on.
Any suggestions for various-age-suitable presents much appreciated.

A CD token?

I always thought vouchers were a bit of a cop out (sorry) but I think it might be an idea on this occasion.

Cinema tokens
Vouchers for a meal out?
Vouchers for downloadable tracks
Clothes vouchers
Nice aftershave

i think all above would be appreciated by any bloke and would certainly go down well with all the young men I work with who have an LD.

I'm sure I've seen them in Smiths/Woolworth and record shops but as am old fart who avoids shops, don't take my word for it.
