do you mean you have paid off your credit card in full and then more on top and they now owe you money? in which case phone them for your money back.

or do you mean you paid more than the minimum monthly payment, in which case they will just assume you meant to pay more towards clearing it.

can't help you with whether or not they would repay you if it's the second one, they probably aren't under any obligation to, but you should phone and ask.

oh, unless you had a DD or SO and they took more than the agreed amount - in which case yes, they should pay it back.

Do you have a positive balance?

Phone and ask them? Maybe if you close the account they would have to send you a cheque or something.

sorry been out

no I mean its a credit card I don't normally use ... and I used it whilst my other one was being replaced .. then forgot to pay and they charged me a late fee of £12

I arranged with bank to pay it in full

then thought hang on £12 is a bit steep (plus interest) so called them up and they've waived it

so card will now be £12 in credit .. but as I don't normally use it I'd like the £12 back in my bank account (too late to amend bank payment .. I tried)

if you're still with me ... well done you
