Have worn glasses for 22 years and am considering contact lenses especially now sunny weather coming (hopefully) and want to wear sunglasses.

Are they easy to use? Looks a bit of a nightmare trying to get them in your eye

Thanks

It does take practice getting used to putting them in your eye.

But they're more comfortable than ever, and the newer disposable ones are a godsend.

You need to go talk to an optician, obviously - contact lense prescriptions have a bit more info in them than glasses.

I would recommend them. The soft and disposable ones are much easier on the eye than hard ones and very comfortable.

The first few times it is scary putting them in - but really it is very easy - you realise quite quickly that your eyes are tough and you are not going to hurt them.

Go to an optician that specialises in lenses and ask their advice. Usually they have s system of trialling them before you comit to buying them.

Mine cost about £25 per month including all checkups, lenses and solutions.

You also have more regular checkups - say every six months.

make sure they know you want to talk about contact lenses - not all opticians do them - they may want to have a separate appointment for it.
