Does just combing through with conditioner really work?

found that dd was crawling on the weekend so combed through with conditioner on saturday morning, then treated with lyclear saturday night, then combed through again last night.

Now I find that I have them which means dd probably has them back, and the treatments are very expensive and not great for you.

Justr wondered what the current trend was with these things

Send the nits to the practice manager!

Lots of information here about headlice.

Hedrin's never worked for us, though I know lots of people swear by it. I wonder why this is - any suggestions/observations?

So far, the only thing I've found that works is shaving the lot off. Really drastic, so I'll keep reading your messages till SOMETHING else turns up.

Wish me luck.

I don't think Hedrin can "not work" - the nits can't get immune to it because it suffocates them. Are you sure you're really soaking the hair with it and leaving it in for long enough? And are you doing it again 7 days later? Oh, and are you doing everyone in the family - including grown ups and particularly dad? I find people sometimes forget the dads!

if you want to stop them coming back you can try this. I use it on dd1's hair when there has been a note home for a week or so and she has never had them.

here I also spray her hat every now and then too.
