Just wanted to know exactly how outrageous our pre-school fees are as I keep getting goggled at. when I say it's £8.50 for 2.5h. Today is the deadline for booking in DS at 2y9m or waiting until 3y6m. It's in Hampshire not London and is officially a 'community pre-school', nothing fancy, about 95 on the books.
Thanks.

£10/3 hours (Surrey - in a church hall)

Think ours is around that, but that's a private day-care nursery.

£9 for 3 hours - west longond

DD went to private day nursery and it was just under £30 for the day: 8am to 5:30pm. We got the value of 2.5 hours per session (so up to 5 hours a day) knocked off that cost (up to 5 sessions).

£12 for 4 hours (south west London)

Thanks, trying to compare the risk of not finding a childminder to pick up DS from preschool (plus hassles associated with CMs having lives of their own) with the fewer working hours I could get if he was at nursery for a morning instead. It's flipping mindbending isn't it!
