I have just found ds cuddled up with a sink plunger

He has always been fond of it, but to have smuggled it into his bed at night shows true devotion I feel

Bless

hunkermunker · 19/03/2007 21:04

LOL at "he has always been fond of it" - he's fab, your DS (I love that he says "villain" )

nally · 19/03/2007 21:05

ds once went to bed hugging his new shoes (not wearing them) because he was so pleased with them. fluffy (teddy's name) got thrown on the floor that night!

AitchYouBerk · 19/03/2007 21:07

hand cream.

SoupDragon · 19/03/2007 21:09

A slice of pizza. Although to be fair he had fallen asleep whilst eating it at tea time.

franca70 · 19/03/2007 21:10

elastic bands

Eulalia · 19/03/2007 21:10

Blu-Tack. Can get a bit fuzzy though from the bed. In fact ds (age 7 with autism) has an obsession with it and often has a bit in his hand (even takes it to school). If we are out anywhere like a cafe or the library he surreptitiously steals it from posters leaving just enough to keep them on the wall. I often have visions of us as we leave, banging the door and all the posters falling down!

lulumama · 19/03/2007 21:10

my switch card, snaffled from my handbag by DD!

colditz · 19/03/2007 21:11

2 tiny weeny toy china cups, that he had evidently been feeding 'Baby cat' and 'Baby Wabbit' water out of, judging by the drenched state of their heads.

purplemonkeydishwasher · 19/03/2007 21:11

a travel clock (he was 10 months at the time)

Cappuccino · 19/03/2007 21:13

dd2 (2) often falls asleep in her cot clutching tubs of playdoh

Gingerbear · 19/03/2007 21:22

lucy5 · 19/03/2007 21:24

My dd used to take a tube of bonjela to bed with her! Not to use, just to hold.

HappyDaddy · 19/03/2007 21:25

Her laptop (kiddie one), preparing herself for when she falls asleep on her keyboard later in life.

StrawberrySnowflakes · 19/03/2007 21:26

a hoop of her hoopla game, it was always the green one and you touch it..you feel the wrath!...she did it for weeks as a baby(10 months ish)...then it was orange and green hoops!!!

DD2 - who is 26 months is mad about dinosaurs at the moment. She carries dinosaur stickers everywhere with her, they're furry on the back now, but she keeps them folded between a piece of paper. she has a dinosaur book that has to be propped up on her pillow behind her head at exactly the right angle, and she cuddles an empty dvd case with a picture of a dinosaur on. Her favourtite doll that she called 'sweety-lady-pop' is now at the bottom of her bed as there's no room.

Mercy · 19/03/2007 21:31

haha! This is ds' thing - he goes through phases of being mildy obsessed with certain objects. Recently,

a battery

a rubber

baby jesus (ie, the smallest Russian doll from Ikea)

a toy ladder

elclose · 19/03/2007 21:33

dont know but once woke up to see my dh clutching a cheese sandwhich in one hand and a pickled onion in the other( he was in bed next to me with lights blaring down on us)

hunkermunker · 19/03/2007 21:34

DS2 didn't fall asleep with it, but he got VERY fond of a potato when he was in the shopping trolley the other day. Had to be the same one. Was very taken with it and kept showing it to people and then talking to it.
