Hi all, I have a small garden pond (quite deep) and an 18 month old which obviously don't mix. I'd like to fill our pond up temporarily with dirt but partner thinks it would just turn into a bog when it rains. Has anyone filled in a pond succesfully?? Thanks

Fill it up with hard core and then just add a layer of soil to the top.

no way you can fence it off at all?

Fill it two-thirds with rubble, cut some wood to cover the rubble and then fill with sand. Voila, sand pit.

make a wooden frame and nail chicken wire over it, then put it over pnod.
piss easy!
ds will not fall in
you will be saving an important part of the ecosystem
ds will learn so much from it and enjoy it when he is older
