I average slightly more than one load a day - only one child

No school uniform so no need to change - is this a good argument against uniforms?

oliveoil · 06/07/2004 16:43

I am sure she has 4 bathrooms as well, I seem to remember this from about a year ago. Weird stalker alert .

codswallop · 06/07/2004 16:44

school informas are all made of polyester
so very easy to launder

I have one bathroom but one bedroom has a washbasin as well, does this count as 1 and a quarter?

NomDePlume · 06/07/2004 16:47

Bloody hell, see what happens when I wander off into RL ?! You all gang up on me , but I'm a Manc so perhaps that should be !!

Fio - Yes we have 3 pillows each, but they're sh*tty ones (all flat and cack) so no stiff necks here

Olive - Lol, it's 3 actually so you can spare your blushes

Blimey, how's that for a cornucopia of emoticons ?!

NomDePlume · 06/07/2004 16:51

BTW, I buy all the kids surfy, sportswear designery stuff for under a tenner a piece on Ebay. The though of £50-£65 on one pair of trousers which would just get wrecked within a month galls me.

Northerner · 06/07/2004 16:52

Yes I think she does have lot's of bathrooms.

AND she calls her clothes horse a maiden. Not bad from a gal from Mancs!

oliveoil · 06/07/2004 16:54

I have no idea why your bathroom quota has stuck in my mind, what a saddo

Didn't know you were a fellow manc, nice one rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr kid

NomDePlume · 06/07/2004 16:58

My council estate Nanna from Gorton called her airer thingy a maiden. Didn't think maiden was a posh word, certainly wasn't where I grew up (Droylsden & Gorton) !!

OO

NomDePlume · 06/07/2004 17:00

My house only has 3 bathrooms 'cos its a newie and developers cram them in wherever they get the chance..... I'm going to stop defending my self now, promise.

Fio2 · 06/07/2004 17:02

well I have three toilets in my stinky old house too much cleaning and you can guarentee at least one of the toilets has ran out of bog roll

codswallop · 06/07/2004 17:03

ndp only kidding

NomDePlume · 06/07/2004 17:03

Too bloody right Fio, they're a bind to keep clean, especially when you've got 3 boys with VERY slapdash approaches to aiming

NomDePlume · 06/07/2004 17:08

I know cods, I know

GeorginaA · 06/07/2004 19:11

2 loads a day here (normal size drum) for 2 adults, 1 three year old who has regressed into ignoring the potty and a 7 week old who sleeps in three different beds and could posset for England.... THREE different tops I've worn today.... GRR

handlemecarefully · 07/07/2004 01:38

Around 1 load a day for 2 adults, a nearly two year old and an 11 week old baby

handlemecarefully · 07/07/2004 01:39

Baby doesn't posset unlike Georgina's !

mummytosteven · 07/07/2004 01:40

about 1 - should be a lot more - vast laundry backlog has built up . Still at least (cross fingers) DS has now stopped projective vomiting, which reduces the laundry somewhat

misdee · 07/07/2004 01:40

about 3 loads a day on average. both dd's have ezcema and also dd2 vomits frequently, plus washable nappies. no wonder my dryer is packing up!

Toothache · 07/07/2004 01:44

Oooo I only do about 3 or 4 loads a WEEK! I don't seem to have time to do anymore.

unicorn · 07/07/2004 01:45

Ok I shall slide into this thread easily as I am Washer/dryer obsessed since mine packed up this morning.
The machine has been a major part of our family it's whirring and beeping will be sadly missed!
So let me know via this thread or Products one... what's your machine like?! (yep I am THAT sad!!)

clary · 07/07/2004 04:43

14 loads a week is quite a lot isn't it...do you do washable nappies coddy? I reckon about 8 loads a week plus the nappies, say every 3 days (we're being a bit slack about that just now). So that makes 10-11. I've got 3 children too tho thankfully baby is past the sicky stage and DD (3) very reliable in terms of wee/poo. However this can go pear-shaped when, as this morning, both DS1 and DD woke with wet beds (for the first time in about a month...why both together???)
