If you hired a band for your wedding what songs would you expect to hear?

Aside from obvious wedding songs ie everything i do/don't want to miss a thing etc etc

I'd check their repertoire & also go & see them play if possible.

I went to a wedding years ago & the band were awful!.

Not one of the songs which was played at our wedding (without any prior warning) - "One Day at a Time, Sweet Jesus"

For anyone not familiar I believe it is about someone battling with an addiction and praying for help

Well, we like to dance but the venue had a 'no amplified music' policy which made it a bit difficult. Eventually we found a 50s rock and roll band that played unplugged apart from a single mic for the vocalist, which worked very well.

We requested mainly Buddy Holly, Fats Domino, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry etc - they also had more country stuff in the repertoire but that wasn't what we were going for.

Our first dance was Rock Around the Clock .
