Slate floor tiles or porcelaine lookalikes?

Can't decide what to have in our new kitchen. DP is keen on real slate (but then he's not the one who's got to seal and clean it!), I like porcelaine. I'm keen to hear anyones exeriences... (oh, and sorry for being so boring!)

slate are very cold and a pain to clean when dc drop food everywhere. got dh to replace with slate tile effect click boards very similar look very easy clean and no longer get frost bid when bare footed.
