I've recorded it. can't wait to watch it tonight

Janstar · 04/07/2004 18:23

I saw it. Unbelievable stuff. What absolutely bizarre and awful people.

Piffleoffagus · 04/07/2004 18:24

I thought it was a piss take , as I was not brought up here, it is not very well known to me, but yes indeed, what a very strange family!

marthamoo · 04/07/2004 18:26

Pooh, I forgot! I used to see him (when he was a him) around Cardiff when I was at Uni there. It was just after he was first on TV and people would literally scream abuse at him from cars etc. He just used to look down his nose disdainfully at them but I remember thinking at the time "OK, he's weird, but he's still just a child." What a way to grow up.

Tinker · 04/07/2004 18:28

Oh bundle, you are in for a very big treat

I was gutted to have missed it, is it repeated at all?

I remember seeing him on TV in the 80s and thinking what a bizarre creature he was then

Tinker · 04/07/2004 18:29

mm - he actually came out of this programme well compared to his family!

He auditioned for this year's Big Brother - imagine that

bother! Meant to ask Mum to tape it!

Thomcat · 04/07/2004 18:39

OMG! At first it made me sad and I felt sorry forhim as a child. Then I 'met' the family and it all fell into place - SCARY MARY! Keith Allen made me laugh when he confronted them all!

Janstar · 04/07/2004 18:40

I think he/she should go on I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here. That would be fantastic.

Janstar · 04/07/2004 18:41

I felt exactly the same, Thomcat. The mother scared the s**t out of me!

Tinker · 04/07/2004 18:49

Keith Allen was brilliant. "You're all f*ing mad"

What about the 'drama class'?

Thomcat · 04/07/2004 18:57

Can you imagine the people who went to them for conselling / guidance or whatever it was!!!!!!

Fair play to Mr Allen for confronting them. Can't believe they stayed to argue their case! Then agin they did try and sue the goverment!

Tinker · 04/07/2004 19:00

Wish I'd taped it now, want to watch it again.

Can't believe anyone did go to them. Why hadn't the 2 other sons left home? It left so many questions unanswered.

Thomcat · 04/07/2004 19:26

Yeah......errrrrrr, why were they all living there. I bet if one of them passes away they'll have them stuffed and sit them in a rocking chair with a pot of tea laid out!!!!!!!

Mirage · 05/07/2004 00:33

I missed the programme-but dh sent me this.

Mirage · 05/07/2004 00:35

Tommy · 05/07/2004 00:53
