If a seller changes their name to something very similar would you be worried?

I am looking for a wardrobe and found a lovely one but the seller has no feedback, they have changed their name recently and have just added a no.1 to the end of their old name but I can't find the feedback on their old name, I would like to see if there is a reason they have changed their name by a digit, is it possible to find the old name? I did a search on the old name and it just came up with the new name.

How do you know they've changed their name ? If they've just adjusted the name on their original account, they will carry their previous feedback over to their new name IYSWIM.

BTW, if it is a wardrobe, I would assume you'll be collecting it. If so, then I'd give them cash on collection, that way you won't lose out.

Ebay advice is to change names and passwords every 30 days, so maybe they are doing that, I change my name by one digit every so often, and its true that they carry the feedback over regardless of how much you change your name.
